Travelled to Bath City with high expectations of cultural discovery, but was not prepared for the magnificence that warrants world heritage status for the city in it's entirety. A hint of what's in store is glimpsed on the approach to Bath.

Once within it's confines, the architecture and realisation of the cultural significance of the city takes you back in time.

The city is also referred to as Bath Spa, the reason being the Romans harnessing the natural minerals
from the river Avon and utilising the benefits with the construction of Baths in 72 AD!

This really was an awe inspiring trip and will leave this post with a sample of a bit more Georgian ambiance.

Salisbury offers up so much to experience and photograph and none so much as the magnificent Salisbury Cathedral which dates back to 1215.

One can only marvel at the imposing nature of the architectural landscape of the Cathedral's footprint over Salisbury but the real wonders are to be found inside it's walls.
